Is a gentle , plant-based alternative to retinol. The active molecule in bakuchiol oil that gives it is skin benefits is bakuchiol it self. It is a meroterpene phenol-a natural compound extracted mainly from the seeds and leaves of the psoralen corylifolia plant. While Bakuchiol oil is not structurally identical to retinol, it mimics retinol's activity by influencing similar cellular pathways.
